Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Description

The Senior Accountant II is responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, assisting with credit management, and supporting tax filing requirements. This role involves preparing financial statements, maintaining general ledger integrity, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Senior Accountant II has a lead role in the annual audit process and ensures internal controls are maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex accounting tasks and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Assist with credit management and support tax filing requirements.
  • Prepare financial statements and maintain general ledger integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Lead the annual audit process and maintain internal controls.

Essential Skills

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
  • Proficiency in financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Experience with reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Ability to prepare for audits and conduct financial reporting.
  • Expertise in variance analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Five or more years of experience recording journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, preparing financial statements, conducting variance analysis, and performing financial reporting.
  • Experience in audit preparation.
  • Ability to create pivot tables and Vlookups in Excel.
  • Proficiency with large scale ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, SAGE, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or Infor.

Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid schedule with remote work on Mondays and Fridays, plus two additional remote days each month. The company provides comprehensive benefits that begin on day one, including medical coverage with reimbursable copays, a 401k plan, a pension plan, and access to a fitness center. Employees receive 12 days of scheduled leave, 12 days of personal leave, and both floating and traditional holidays.
