Solutions Architect

GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a Solution Architect to work in a hybrid capacity, with 3–4 days on-site per month in Harrisburg. As a Solution Architect you will be responsible for designing and supporting enterprise software solutions, guiding development teams on architecture and best practices, and ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of enterprise platforms.

As an Application Development Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing and developing system solutions, and supporting complex applications throughout their lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that align with organizational standards and best practices

• • Design and support enterprise software solutions while ensuring system performance, scalability, and alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

  • Analyze business requirements and develop end-to-end integrated system solutions across enterprise platforms.

  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural guidance to development teams while participating in design and code reviews.

  • Manage application patches, upgrades, and regression testing to ensure platform stability and compliance with business requirements.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex development and production issues while supporting development teams during critical incidents.

  • Collaborate with internal project teams, IT infrastructure groups, and support teams to align solutions with organizational initiatives.

  • Coordinate with external vendors for product support, upgrades, issue resolution, and system enhancements.

  • Develop and maintain system-level documentation including technical specifications, integration diagrams, data definitions, and disaster recovery documentation.

  • Develop shared utilities or tools to support enterprise development best practices and research new technical solutions.

  • Participate in on-call or after-hours support when required and assist with system-level troubleshooting and maintenance.

• • 8+ years of application development experience in enterprise environments.

  • Strong proficiency in enterprise programming languages such as .NET, C#, and T-SQL.

  • Experience designing and supporting enterprise application architectures and system integrations.

  • Experience with application development tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, or SoapUI.

  • Knowledge of systems development methodologies and project management practices.

  • Experience troubleshooting complex production and development issues within enterprise systems.

  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to mentor technical teams.

  • Associate’s or technical degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

• • Experience designing AI-enabled solution architectures.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft cloud AI services including Azure AI Services and Azure AI Foundry.

  • Experience with AI governance frameworks within Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.

  • Experience supporting enterprise platforms such as BizTalk, Pega, Exstream, Web, or ImageRight.

  • Experience working with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.

  • Experience working within regulated industries such as property and casualty insurance.

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, vendors, and enterprise infrastructure groups.
