UPMC Community Osteopathic is hiring a full-time Central Sterile Processing Supervisor for the evening shift (2:30 PM–11 PM). In this leadership role, you’ll oversee a team and manage all daily sterile processing operations, including instrument decontamination, assembly, sterilization, case picking, and equipment cleaning. You’ll ensure safe, efficient workflows and serve as a key resource for staff and clinical teams.

Responsibilities:
- Communicates clearly in writing and verbally, with thorough documentation that supports teamwork and patient care.
- Applies strong critical-thinking skills to address clinical, safety, and patient-support needs.
- Incorporates organizational and national standards to enhance safety, quality, and patient experience.
- Builds positive, compassionate relationships and shares new knowledge through presentations and education.

Leads and develops the sterile processing team, ensuring accurate instrument processing, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization.

- High School Graduate or equivalent.Â
- 3 years' experience in central sterile processing.Â
- 2 years supervisory or team leader experience required.Â
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers, physicians, staff of other hospital departments, and outside contacts.
- Must complete 10 hours of continuing education to remain qualified as a Central Sterile Technician on an annual basis.
- Must be able to stand for all shift hours and be able to pick up, push, pull etc. 35 pounds.Â
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
 - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution OR Certified Registered Central Service Technician with Healthcare Sterile Processing Association
- Act 34
