About the Role:
The Installation Assistant supports our experienced installation crews in delivering high-quality window and door installations for luxury residential construction projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and is eager to learn a skilled trade. Responsibilities:
- Assist lead installers with the installation of premium windows and doors according to manufacturer specifications and Morrison Millwork quality standards.Â
- Load, unload, organize, and transport windows, doors, tools, and installation materials safely and efficiently.Â
- Prepare job sites by staging materials, protecting finished surfaces, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.Â
- Measure openings, read a tape measure accurately, and assist with preparing materials for installation.Â
- Operate hand and power tools safely while following all company safety procedures.Â
- Remove existing materials and clean completed work areas to ensure each project is left in excellent condition.Â
- Identify and communicate any installation concerns, damaged materials, or job site issues to the Lead Installer.Â
- Maintain company equipment, tools, and vehicles in a clean and professional condition.Â
- Work collaboratively with fellow installers, subcontractors, builders, and homeowners while representing Morrison Millwork professionally.Â
- Follow all OSHA guidelines and company safety policies while performing physically demanding work in varying weather conditions.Â
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn installation techniques, product knowledge, and best practices to support long-term career growth.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.Â
- One or more years of construction, carpentry, remodeling, or installation experience preferred.Â
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.Â
- Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and in varying weather conditions.Â
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.Â
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to producing quality work.Â
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.Â
- Reliable transportation to and from work.Â
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.Â
- Must provide and maintain a basic set of hand tools (tool list provided upon hire).Â
- Must pass a background check and drug test.
