Description

Miller Edge, Inc. is seeking a hands-on, solutions-driven General Engineer to support the design, development, and continuous improvement of electro-mechanical products. This role combines technical problem-solving, project ownership, and cross-functional collaboration, offering the opportunity to work on real-world engineering challenges from concept through customer support. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering high-quality engineering solutions that meet safety, regulatory, and performance standards.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Problem-solving: Analyze complex      technical problems and develop innovative solutions, considering factors      such as cost, safety, environmental impact, and functionality.
  2. Project Management: Plan,      execute, and oversee engineering projects from conception to completion,      ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  3. Design and Development: Create      engineering designs, models, and prototypes, utilizing software tools and      advanced technologies to bring ideas to life.
  4. Research and Development: Stay      up-to-date with the latest industry advancements, conduct research, and      explore emerging technologies to improve existing processes and create new      products.
  5. Technical Analysis: Perform      detailed engineering calculations, simulations, and testing to validate      designs and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with      multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, designers, and      technicians, to achieve project goals and objectives.
  7. Regulatory Compliance: Stay      informed about relevant industry regulations, codes, standards, and safety      requirements.
  8. Documentation: Prepare technical      reports, specifications, and documentation to communicate engineering      concepts, results, and recommendations effectively.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Identify      areas for process and product improvement, proposing and implementing      enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  10. Technical Support. Assist      customers with questions regarding installation and function of Miller      Edge products.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Education: A Bachelor's degree electrical,      mechanical, or industrial engineering.
  2. Specialization: Working      knowledge of electro-mechanical design and assembly.
  3. Problem-solving Skills: Strong      analytical and critical thinking abilities to identify and address      engineering and manufacturing processes/challenges effectively.
  4. Technical Knowledge: Proficiency      in relevant engineering software, tools, and techniques, depending on the      specific job requirements.
  5. Communication: Excellent verbal      and written communication skills to convey complex technical information      clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
  6. Project Management: Experience      in managing engineering projects, including planning, scheduling, and      resource allocation.
  7. Adaptability: Ability to work in      a dynamic environment and quickly learn and apply new skills as needed for      different projects.
  8. Professionalism: Ethical conduct      and commitment to maintaining high engineering standards and practices.
  9. Computer Skills. Proficient in      Microsoft Word, Excel, other general office environment programs.
