Saint Joseph’s Medical Center/St. Vincent’s Hospital Westchester Division is seeking a Clinical Director for the 30 bed Chemical Dependency Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, which includes 6 medically managed detox beds. In collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, including the Nursing Patient Care Director, this key leadership position is responsible for management of clinical services, staff supervision, and treatment program while ensuring ethical patient care, regulatory compliance, and adherence to evidence-based addiction treatment models.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Clinical Oversight: Manage daily operations of the unit's treatment schedule, ensuring evidence-based care for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Staff Management: Supervise, hire, evaluate, and mentor CASACs, Discharge Planner, Creative Arts Therapist.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain organizational alignment with state/federal laws, HIPAA guidelines, and accreditation bodies.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee client record documentation, utilization review collaboration, and risk management protocols.
  • Patient Advocacy & Care: Resolve client or family grievances and handle high-level administrative or safety discharge decisions. 

Minimum Qualifications: Qualified Health Professional

  • Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Licensure: LCSW,LCP, LMHC
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years working in substance use disorder treatment, including 2 to 3 years in a clinical supervisory or administrative role.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of co-occurring conditions, crisis intervention, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems. 

Salary Range: $80K-$95K

Shift: 8:15A-4:45P
