As a Customer Care Representative, you’ll strengthen customer relationships and contribute to sustainable business growth through responsive service, practical problem-solving, and reliable support. You’ll work with DME, a Hillenbrand company, in Harrison Township, Michigan. We provide mold technologies and solutions that help manufacturers improve productivity and performance. Your work will support operational excellence, stronger customer experiences, and long-term value for our customers and business.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Process customer orders, purchase orders, amendments, emails, and related documentation accurately to support timely fulfillment and dependable service.
  • Respond to customer calls, correspondence, and E-store chats by answering questions, resolving issues, and providing product or technical assistance.
  • Build relationships with current and prospective customers by understanding their needs, explaining products, and identifying relevant sales opportunities.
  • Prepare proposals and quotes, recommend products based on customer requirements, and coordinate payment terms within established guidelines.
  • Maintain complete customer, transaction, and follow-up records in company systems to support accountability, visibility, and informed decision-making.
  • Coordinate with sales, suppliers, customers, and internal departments to resolve problems, arrange sample submissions or inspections, and keep work moving efficiently.
  • Prepare reports, follow established safety and operating procedures, and identify opportunities to improve customer care processes, accuracy, and efficiency.

  • You’ll collaborate with customers, sales colleagues, suppliers, and other internal departments to deliver consistent service and support shared business goals. You’ll contribute to an environment where different perspectives are respected, people feel they belong, and colleagues work together to support DME’s and Hillenbrand’s success.
THE EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NEEDED:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting customers through phone, email, chat, or another customer service channel.
  • Ability to process orders, quotes, purchase orders, and customer records accurately using computer-based systems.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with customers, suppliers, sales colleagues, and other departments.
  • Practical math, analytical, and problem-solving skills for reviewing transactions, preparing quotes, and resolving customer concerns.
  • Ability to organize your work, manage your time, and adjust priorities while handling multiple customer requests and administrative tasks.
  • Sound judgment, accountability, and attention to detail, with a consistent focus on preventing errors and following established procedures.
  • A collaborative and adaptable approach, with openness to learning products, systems, E-store processes, and improved ways of working.
