Overview

The Breast Imaging Technologist works under general supervision of the Chief Radiologic Technologist by performing accurate screening and diagnostic mammography exams for patients in a timely manner; works effectively with physicians, patients and other clinic personnel.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Performs high quality screening and diagnostic mammograms
  • Obtains patient history and accurately enters information into the EMR
  • Act as an agent to obtain patient information to aid the physician in diagnosis and treatment
  • Assists patients in dressing and navigation through clinic
  • Is proficient in the technical operation of all diagnostic equipment; uses proper care in handling equipment

 

Qualifications: 

  • Graduation from Certified Radiological Tec Program ARRT
  • 2 years related experience and/or training
