Job Summary Assume shift-level responsibility for nursing services across the hospital. Coordinate staffing and bed placement with unit leadership, support clinical operations during high-volume periods, interpret policy, and keep administration apprised of critical issues. Key Responsibilities Round on units; assess needs; collaborate with charge nurses to ensure continuity of care and safe staffing. Allocate/reallocate personnel during surges, transfers, or emergencies; facilitate patient flow and throughput. Serve as the on-site administrative resource: interpret hospital policies/regulations; support decision-making and escalation. Promote effective communication and harmonious relationships among staff, medical providers, patients, and families. Assist units during busy times; provide clinical guidance consistent with medical staff policies and orders. Educate/mentor new RNs; provide in-services and reinforce core safety practices.   Job Qualifications Required Current Arkansas RN license; BLS and ACLS certifications. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; strong leadership, prioritization, and communication skills. Preferred Prior leadership/charge/house supervisor experience in an acute-care setting. Completion of annual safety/infection control in-services; committee participation.
