Position Summary The role of the Patient Experience Coordinator II (PEC2) will be responsible for answering all patient calls, scheduling appointments, and collecting new patient information.  The PEC2 will schedule all patient visit types.  The PEC2 will be responsible for correctly scheduling in a patient center medical home (PCMH) manner and following all HCHC scheduling policies including refill and double-booking policies.    Responsibilities Answer phone Correctly schedule patients for with either new or return visits for all services and locations. Correctly collect new patient information Correctly apply the refill protocol as needed Correctly schedule double books per policy Understand and support provider/patient panels Serve as a backup to PEC1 as needed/requested PEC2’s will be crossed training on all PEC1 functions to allow for cross coverage in the front office as needed. Other responsibilities as assigned. QualificationsRequirements Must be able to organize patient information Basic addition and subtraction mathematics skills Proven typing skills Ability to multitask such as: answering phones, greeting patients, entering information in a computer system Possess good interpersonal skills Able to work effectively with co-workers and the public Preferred Requirements: Certification/Registered as a Medical Assistant or higher Previous experience in a medical office setting Fluency in Spanish Fluency in language other than English
