Position Summary The IT Manager plays a critical role in supporting community-oriented primary health care through the functionality and security of the organization’s facilities, equipment, hardware, and software. This position is also responsible for expert-level administration of HCHC’s Microsoft environment—including SharePoint, Teams, Office 365, and OneDrive—ensuring these platforms are optimized for secure, efficient organizational use.   The Manager will identify trends and developments in Information Technology, assess related impacts on business operations, and recommend technology or services that support the organization’s strategic direction. This role oversees all IT performance on a daily basis, taking corrective action where necessary. The Manager also serves as the designated HIPAA Security Officer responsible for overseeing information security policies, procedures, and technical systems, and for maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of HCHC data and information systems.   Responsibilities Provides high-quality customer service through courteous and professional communication. Supports and maintains effective relationships by means of consistent follow up and documentation. Provides supervision and leadership to the IT department in planning, design, development, and installation of projects. Develops trusting relationships with senior leadership and staff. Clearly communicates priorities and expectations. Manages staff by leading, influencing, and developing plans for career and professional growth. Creates opportunities for employees to gain experience utilizing new skills. Serves as technical lead for support personnel while managing incoming requests, purchases, and user consultations. Serves as a management leader and liaison between technology functions and senior leadership. Oversees daily performance of IT team and the outside 3rd party vendors, ensuring continuous improvement. Develops and maintains IT and Facilities service catalogs aligned with business needs. Develops, maintains, and communicates project plans, schedules, and resource allocation. Microsoft Environment Administration Leads and manages all aspects of Microsoft 365 administration, including SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive for Business, Exchange Online, and associated security/compliance features. Designs, implements, and maintains SharePoint sites, Teams structures, permission models, and workflows to support collaboration and operational efficiency. Oversees identity, access, and licensing management within Microsoft 365. Ensures consistent governance, best practices, backup standards, and security configurations across the Microsoft ecosystem. Provides expert-level troubleshooting and support for all Microsoft 365 applications and integrations. Trains staff on effective use of SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and other M365 tools. General IT Responsibilities Develops and implements multi year replacement cycles for all IT equipment. Purchases IT and Facilities hardware/software and provides input into budgeting and capital planning. Manages the design, installation, modification, and operation of IT and communication systems. Collaborates with business owners to develop a multi year operational and capital plan for IT. Evaluates vendor proposals and technologies to support efficiency, capability, and security. Negotiates and manages vendor agreements and service levels. Leads implementation of industry standard change control processes. Plans and evaluates complex IT systems and emerging technologies. Develops and presents proposals for technology and risk prevention aligned with strategic direction. Ensures staff receive necessary IT training and instruction. Oversees and evaluates IT projects, including feasibility and risk assessments. Communicates policies and ensures adherence to HCHC standards. Information Security & Compliance Implements, manages, and enforces information security directives, including HIPAA compliance. Ensures information security is integrated with business strategies. Oversees access control, disaster recovery, business continuity, incident response, and risk management. Leads information security training and awareness initiatives. Conducts information risk audits with the Privacy Officer and participates in incident response. Evaluates physical security in collaboration with the Risk and Compliance Officer. Additional Responsibilities Collaborates across teams to improve services, processes, and efficiency. Coordinates with external IT organizations to align processes and pricing structures. Produces managerial reports and documentation to support strategic planning. Performs other duties as assigned. Preferred Certifications Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ 900) Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate or equivalent experience Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC 300) Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator Associate (SC 400) CompTIA A+ (or equivalent hands on hardware/software troubleshooting proficiency) CompTIA Security+ (meeting baseline security competency for HIPAA related systems) CompTIA Network+ or demonstrated equivalent networking experienceQualificationsRequired Skills and Abilities Knowledge of MS Office Product Suite. Experience with managing Windows based servers and local based servers in addition to local area networks and wide area networks. Ability to maintain efficient operation of hardware/IT resources.   Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science. At least five years of IT & Maintenance experience and one year in a supervisory role. Demonstrated knowledge and use of eClinicalWorks software.    Physical Requirements Lifting up to 50 pounds. Regular travel throughout the office and effectively interacts with staff. Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; Visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities.
