Job DetailsJob Location: Harrisonville, MO 64701Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: AnySchedule: Primary Shift: 6 am to 2:30pm during regular weekdays, 7am to 3:30pm on every other weekend, some holidays. Shifts could vary based on department needs. Areas of tasks: Removing trash & linen, bio waste throughout facility, conference setups, patient room discharge cleaning, daily room cleaning, emergency room cleaning, terminal cleaning of surgical suites, utilizing floor scrubbers, burnishers/buffers, hanging & replacing curtains, stocking supplies, stocking linen as needed and other department tasks as needed. Physical Demands: Work inside facility 95% or more. Frequent daily lifting/carrying of objects/Furniture/items in the range of 10 lbs. to 100 lbs. Standing on ladders/step stools. Performing daily repetitive tasks with minimal supervision.  Primary Purpose: To clean assigned areas of the hospital and to maintain the hospital in a sanitary, orderly and attractive condition.                                      Formal Policy-Setting Responsibilities: No formal responsibility. The policies associated with the job’s purpose and essential responsibilities are set by others.                                          Routine Decision Making: Makes decisions on areas that need cleaning in the absence of the Environmental Services Manager.                                           Formal Supervisory Responsibility: No formal supervisory responsibility.                                              Required Knowledge: Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines; knowledge of waste and infectious waste and chemicals; knowledge of proper use of personal protective equipment.                Unusual Working Conditions: Working with chemicals; risk of blood, body fluid contamination.                    QualificationsEducation and Certification/ Registration Required for the Position: Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
