Job DetailsJob Location: Harrisonville, MO 64701Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 2 Year DegreeJob Shift: DayPrimary Purpose: Responsible for directing, modifying and administering the physical therapy modalities of treatment as supervised by the staff physical therapist.  Administers treatments and physical agents as directed by the staff physical therapist, after the physical therapist has evaluated the patient and established a plan of care. The PTA aids with the restoration of patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, surgery, disease or physical disability. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. Formal Policy-Setting Responsibilities: No formal policy setting responsibility Formal Supervisory Responsibility: No formal supervisory responsibility Required Knowledge: Knowledge of principles and techniques of physical and occupational therapy Required Skills and Ability: Must be able to apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, neurology, kinesiology, and physical science to specialized techniques in treatment of the patient. Unusual Working Conditions: None.       QualificationsEducation and Certification/ Registration Required for the Position: Must be duly licensed under applicable state laws to be a practicing physical therapist assistant and a graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant curriculum. Current BLS CPR certification.
