Position Summary:Â We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our busy family medicine and urgent care team. The Medical Assistant will support providers with patient care, rooming, vital signs, medication reconciliation, procedures, testing, and other clinical duties while providing excellent patient service. The ideal candidate is organized, team-oriented, detail-focused, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Functions:Â Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs, medical history, medication lists, and other relevant information. Prepare patients and exam rooms for provider visits. Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments. Perform clinical testing, including CLIA-waived laboratory testing, as trained and authorized. Administer medications and injections as directed by providers and within scope of practice. Collect and properly process laboratory specimens. Perform medication reconciliation and update patient records accurately. Document patient care and clinical information accurately in the electronic medical record. Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and other patient care coordination as needed. Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked exam rooms and clinical areas. Follow HIPAA, infection control, safety, and other clinic policies and procedures. Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, families, providers, and coworkers. Provide timely follow-up and assist with patient communication as directed. Participate in quality improvement, care gap outreach, and other clinic initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the clinic.

Qualifications:Â Completion of and certification from an accredited Medical Assistant Program preferred or comparable experience in clinic/hospital setting. CPR certification Working knowledge of medical terminology Ability to bend, reach, lift, pull, push and/or carry up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally is required. Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time. Demonstrate excellent computer, telephone and communication skills. Outstanding customer service, organization and attention to detail. Must be a self-starter, a team player, dependable, friendly and professional and be able to multi-task and work efficiently while remaining calm and productive. Previous medical experience preferred but not required.

Hours:Â Clinic hours are M-F 8:00am-8:00pm and Saturdays 9:00am-3:00pm
