Functional Team – Stability Operations
The Stability Operations team provides a critical set of services focused on maintaining production stability, governing changes to the production environment, and ensuring timely service restoration across the enterprise. The team plays a key role in incident coordination, major event facilitation, and change governance, ensuring customer experience and business continuity are always protected.
The SRM and Change Operations function works closely with Application Development, Infrastructure, RE Squad, Release Management, RE/Chapter leaders and Business stakeholders. The team leverages platforms such as ServiceNow, Microsoft Teams, reporting dashboards, and operational analytics to support decision making, coordination, and transparency during and post critical events, change risk categories.
We are looking for an Intern who is eager to learn enterprise IT Service Management (ITSM), develop strong organizational and communication skills, and support operational teams during real world production scenarios. The ideal candidate demonstrates curiosity, structured thinking, attention to detail, and a strong willingness to learn how complex technology environments are stabilized and governed.
As an SRM & Change Operations Intern, you will work directly with cross functional teams and Change practitioners within CTO, gaining hands on exposure to stability operations, change governance, incident coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in tracking and coordinating incidents, major events, and service restoration activities .
- Support Change Operations by helping review change records, validating required fields, and ensuring adherence to enterprise change standards
- Assist in facilitating operational calls and meetings, capturing notes, action items, and follow ups
- Help maintain operational documentation, templates, and process artifacts related to SRM and Change Management
- Participate in post incident reviews (PRBs) and assist with documenting lessons learned and improvement actions
- Support reporting and analysis of stability trends, change compliance, and operational metrics
- Demonstrate strong collaboration, professionalism, and effective communication while working with cross functional technology teams
- Learn and apply ITIL aligned practices, Agile ways of working, and enterprise governance principles in a real production environment

Location of Internship
•   1 Hartford Plaza, Hartford, CT
o   Virtual, remote, and onsite opportunities may be available
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 24 hours per week (part time and temporary)
- Internship runs from mid June through mid August
- Typical working hours are between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM
Special Considerations
- Reliable transportation required for onsite work
- Must satisfy employment eligibility requirements as established by The State of CT and pass required back-ground checks

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
