Saint Francis Hospital a member of Trinity Health of New England is looking for a Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor to join our Behavioral Health Team.
Position Purpose
The Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the clinical Behavioral Health operations provided in the Emergency Department at Saint Francis Hospital. Â The supervisor is responsible for the clinical quality and compliance of crisis assessments, biopsychosocial assessments, behavioral interventions, and post-discharge coordination of care. And oversees admissions to BH inpatient units and the prompt process of referrals from outside facilities.
What will you do:Â
- Manages the staffing schedule for the Behavioral team and employee files.
- Supervises staff of the behavioral health team including collaboration with HR on hiring, orientation, training, scheduling, performance evaluation.
- Oversees the assessment and care coordination of patients in need of Behavioral Health services at the emergency department.
- Supervises the flow of assessments and discharges of patients participating in behavioral assessments and interventions.
- Serves as a lead for social work staff in inpatient units.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in social work required.
- License Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) from State of CT required.
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in providing direct client/patient care in mental health/substance abuse field preferred
- Experience working with "crisis assessments" in the community and hospitals; preferred supervisory experience in this field.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
- Must be available for rotating schedule to receive after hours calls for BHS staff in ED
