We are seeking an experienced Finish Carpenter to join a well-established contractor specializing in historic restoration and preservation projects throughout Connecticut and New England
This is a unique opportunity for a skilled carpenter who takes pride in detailed, high-quality craftsmanship. Projects involve restoring and preserving historic buildings, requiring a strong eye for detail and the ability to work with existing architectural elements while maintaining their original character.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform high-quality finish and restoration carpentry
- Install and restore trim, molding, paneling, doors, windows, and other architectural woodwork
- Repair and reproduce existing wood components to match original profiles
- Perform interior and exterior finish carpentry
- Work with both traditional and modern carpentry methods
- Read plans, measurements, and project specifications
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Work on a variety of historic and architecturally significant buildings
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of professional carpentry experience preferred
- Strong finish carpentry and woodworking skills
- Experience with trim, molding, doors, windows, cabinetry, or architectural millwork
- Restoration or historic preservation experience is a plus, but not required
- Ability to produce precise, detail-oriented work
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- OSHA 10 preferred
- Ability to travel to project sites throughout Connecticut and New England as needed

- Pay: $30–$40/hour, based on experience
- Full-time, permanent position
