SUMMARY
The Pediatric Cardiac Electrophysiologist is responsible for providing comprehensive electrophysiology and general cardiology care for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with congenital and acquired heart disease. This physician will participate in inpatient and outpatient clinical services, perform diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures, support ambulatory rhythm monitoring programs, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary pediatric and congenital heart teams.
This role will work in close cooperation with Medical Director of Cath lab, Chief of Cardiology, Chief of Cardiac Surgery and Cardiology Practice Leadership to foster the success of the program with respect to quality, efficiency, costs, community awareness, and integration of the program throughout Connecticut Children’s.
The role includes opportunities for program development, teaching, quality improvement, and clinical research.
