Must attend 100% of mandatory meetings unless approved by Manager/Supervisor in advance.聽 Attends 100% mandatory hospital and department in-services. If not, in聽attendance聽is responsible for聽obtaining information covered.聽 Regularly reviews posted memos, notes, and in-services and signs forms promptly.聽 Maintains confidentiality and聽complies with聽HIPAA, always protecting patient privacy.聽 Establish a good rapport with physicians, physician offices, other hospital departments and has a good working relationship with laboratory co-workers.聽 Informs director of actual or聽anticipated聽problems to include staffing, performance, or patient related concerns.聽 Listens attentively and request clarification and/or feedback as聽indicated.聽 Supervises laboratory students.聽 If requested,聽will聽perform supervising and other reasonable management duties in聽absence聽of Manager/supervisor.聽 Will communicate any competency or聽proficiency聽needs to the department manager and take the initiative to obtain聽additional聽surgery training, on days聽off聽if necessary, as needed per individual technologist, to adequately perform job duties.聽 Exhibits the positive human relations skills of cooperation, dependability, courtesy, tactfulness, enthusiasm, and overall good attitude.
