The Hematology & Oncology Division is committed to providing comprehensive pediatric hematology, oncology, and bone marrow transplant (BMT) care, including stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies for patients with leukemia, myelodysplastic and myeloproliferative disorders, solid tumors such as neuroblastoma and relapsed Wilms tumor, bone marrow failure syndromes, relapsed Hodgkin lymphoma, sickle cell disease, and recipients of CAR-T cell therapy.

The physician will function as a BMT specialist and also will provide general hematology and oncology care for patients treated within the Division of Hematology and Oncology.  The Physician will provide high-quality, patient- and family-centered care across both inpatient and outpatient settings, managing a broad spectrum of benign and malignant hematologic disorders, oncologic conditions, and transplant-related care. Responsibilities include the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases affecting the blood, bone marrow, immune, and vascular systems, as well as the development and oversight of individualized treatment plans.

The physician will participate in the care of patients undergoing bone marrow transplantation and cellular therapies, including pre-transplant evaluation, post-transplant follow-up, and management of transplant-related complications. Outpatient responsibilities include providing routine hematology and oncology care, survivorship and off-therapy evaluations, and longitudinal management of patients receiving specialized therapies. While chemotherapy administration in satellite clinics is limited, the physician will collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary oncology team to ensure continuity of care.

Additional responsibilities include attending on the inpatient Hematology/Oncology service, providing care for patients admitted for hematologic, oncologic, and transplant-related conditions. The physician will also provide outpatient clinic coverage in the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders and contribute to the continued growth and excellence of the pediatric hematology, oncology, and BMT program.
