Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Wiremold Team in West Hartford, CT. The Production Supervisor will lead and manage production associates, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in our plant operations.

 

What Will You Do?

  • Ensure safety, training, guidance, and direct supervision of production associates.
  • Determine staffing requirements based on the production plan.
  • Lead quality initiatives and ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Meet production goals through efficient use of manpower, machines, and resources.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and ensure equipment and tooling are properly maintained.
  • Foster positive associate relations within company policies.
  • Support and participate in Kaizen and lean enterprise efforts for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required Skills

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or related experience.  
  • Minimum of three years’ experience supervising personnel in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts, Kaizen, and JIT preferred.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

  • Involves standing for sustained periods, moving about on foot, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds occasionally.
  • Work environment includes exposure to noise, moving mechanical parts, and occasional fumes or dust.
