Position Purpose
At Saint Francis Hospital the Medical Cardiology unit  provides care to a diverse array of patients with a focus on cardiac populations (most commonly MI, Chest Pain and Arrhythmias).
What you will do
In this critical role you will be part of a team which values teamwork and prioritizes quality patient care and patient safety above all. You will care for patients with cardiac conditions such as myocardial infarction, chest pain, and arrhythmias, while also supporting a diverse patient population as an overflow MICA and Level 1 Stroke unit. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor cardiac rhythms and clinical status, administer and manage medications, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program. BSN graduates preferred.
- Licensure: Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in Connecticut.
- Certification: BLS (AHA/ARC).
Preferred Skills:Â
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN degree preferred.
- Experience: Acute care, Medical-Surgical, Cardiology experience preferred.
- Certification: ACLS preferred.
