The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors at the health center. Essential Position Duties: Secures premises and personnel through patrolling property by monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points permitting entry. Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities. Informing violators of the health center's policies and procedures around safety and security Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements. Enabling security system and lights in health center, ensuring safe staff entry and exit. Secure and lock properties at the close of business. Implement the instruction for emergency evacuations as instructed by the Director of Facilities. Work according to the schedule decided at the weekly department staff meeting. Attend the department and all staff meetings. Comply with company’s mission, Infection Control, OSHA, and DPH rules and regulation. Must maintain appropriate attendance. Performs miscellaneous duties as required by management. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of relevant public safety codes and security procedure. Attention to environment and premises as well as attention to small details. Sufficient verbal and written communications skills to perform the tasks required. Ability to read and follow instructions. Ability to deal professionally with patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public. Ability to respect patients including those who have impaired cognition. Schedule Availability ( Rotating Schedule) : Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pm Mon, Tues, Thurs 10:45am-9:15pm & Fri. 1:30pm-12:00am Tues-Fri 12:45pm-9:15pm & Saturday 7:30am-5:00pm   QualificationsProfessional Experience/Educational Requirements: High school graduate or GED One to two years experience as security personnel. Flexibility to workdays, weekends and evenings as required. Flexibility to work at multiple sites. Bi-Lingual preferred (Spanish) but not required. Certification/Licensure: Connecticut driver’s license required. Active guard card issued by the State of Connecticut
