Overview:
Our customer support opportunity in Operations is an excellent opportunity to join our Retail Organization. Our Retail organization sells annuity products to customers while providing organic growth for Talcott. Talcott’s competitive advantage is that we aim to differentiate on experience including product speed-to-market and flexible technology that creates sustainable long-term distribution relationships and an efficient operating model. The selected candidate will deliver superior customer service to our valued customers, contract owners and financial advisors. Additionally, they will execute customer requests and educate partners on our annuity products. The selected talent will also support agent onboarding, annuity policy issuance, money movement, handling inbound customer calls and the processing written requests. This role can work as a hybrid arrangement in our Hartford, CT. office. Remote work will also be considered. Additionally, this role will require 10% travel yearly to our Hartford, CT. office. Selected work hours for this position will be 9:30 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. eastern time.
 Responsibilities:
•   Demonstrate professional diplomacy and deliver a positive customer service experience for inbound calls with our customers, contract owners and financial advisors
•   Successfully execute customer requests while navigating a fast-paced structured environment
•   Support the processing of written requests ad hoc
•   Demonstrate active listening and critical thinking skills to quickly assess the customers’ request and leverage online resources to provide an appropriate solution
Qualifications:
Note* This position may be filled as either a Sr. Service Specialist or Service Consultant commensurate with a candidate’s expertise.Â
Senior Service Specialist Qualifications:
•   Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience in the financial services industry
•   Working knowledge of annuities, 401k products, life insurance, mutual funds or stock market activityÂ
•   Demonstrated experience navigating multiple applications and dual monitors
•   Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
•   Demonstrated capacity to develop positive and productive customer relationshipsÂ
•   Ability to multi-task (type and talk at the same time while navigating through multiple screens)
•   Proven success working in a fast-paced and structured environmentÂ
•   Ability to navigate multiple programs and effectively use online resourcesÂ
•   Knowledge of PEGA, FAST, Hexure, and FireLight is a plus!
Service Consultant Qualifications:
•   Minimum of 4 years of customer service experience in the financial services industry
•   Expert knowledge of annuities, 401k products and life insurance productsÂ
•   Demonstrated experience navigating multiple applications and dual monitors
•   Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
•   Demonstrated capacity to develop positive and productive customer relationshipsÂ
•   Ability to multi-task (type and talk at the same time while navigating through multiple screens)
•   Proven success working in a fast-paced and structured environmentÂ
•   Ability to navigate multiple programs and effectively use online resourcesÂ
•   Experience with PEGA, FAST, Hexure, and FireLight is a plus

This range represents the minimum and maximum annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range. The base pay is based on factors including but not limited to experience, competence, and demonstration of proficiencies essential for the role. The base pay is just one component of Talcott’s total annual compensation for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, long-term incentives and recognition.
