The Opportunity

As part of the third-party distribution and new markets strategy, planning and analytics team, you will focus on delivering research projects that influence executive decision-making, share synthesized perspective on the competitive landscape and provide insights that help shape third-party distribution and new markets strategic trajectory.

As pace of change continues to accelerate externally and internally, we have greater needs to monitor and understand the external environment, make deeper use of data/analytics and generate swift insights to inform decision-making.  To ensure success, you will bring deep experience with Tableau and data automation tools.

The Team

Third-Party Distribution and New Markets includes the company’s third-party, worksite, and new markets efforts, focused on innovative ways to reach more people with the financial solutions they need.  The team has an unrelenting focus on delivering long-term financial security and value to our policyowners, and takes a collaborative, inclusive approach to executing our strategy

The Impact:

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Drive the transformation of manual excel-based reporting to automated Tableau reporting
  • Translate complex data and insights into clear, compelling narratives with actionable recommendations, leveraging data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Lead end‑to‑end delivery of complex, cross‑functional projects, independently addressing strategic business questions and developing solutions that advance business unit and enterprise objectives.
  • Own the consolidation, analysis, and interpretation of data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and business relevance.
  • Design and deliver ad hoc reporting and analytical support in response to evolving business needs.
  • Partner closely with the Planning & Strategy team and senior leaders to develop reporting that drives revenue growth, analyzes performance trends, and evaluates profitability across MMSD segments.

The Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience with data visualization and automation tools (i.e. Tableau, PowerBI, MicroStrategy)
  • 3+ years of experience managing complex stakeholder landscape and end-to-end ownership of projects.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in data analysis, management consulting or strategy with a strong track record of successful delivery.

The Ideal Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Powerful communication: ability to create simple, powerful, and data-driven presentations and effectively use storytelling to influence senior leaders and help their decision-making.
  • Demonstrated hypothesis driven problem-solving ability, including skillful translation of business questions into data analytics projects.
  • Prior experience in Financial Services, including familiarity with distribution datasets.
  • Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Comfort with ambiguous, ever-changing situations.
  • Proven ability to aggregate and make sense of large sets of data
  • Expert with Microsoft Office products Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Experience processing, manipulating, validating, and analyzing large amounts of data by utilizing the latest technology (Excel, SQL, Alteryx, R or Python etc.)
