Electrician

Job Description:

As a Part-Time Electrician with AK Light Electric Corp, you will be responsible for performing electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with local and national electrical codes. You’ll work independently or with a small team on a variety of projects in the Hartford area.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components.

• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.

• Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.

• Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Qualifications:

• Valid Connecticut E-2 or higher Electrical License required.

• Minimum 2 years of electrical experience (commercial).

• Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and safety procedures.

• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Part-Time: Flexible hours (10–25 hours per week, depending on workload).

• Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
