Description:

The ideal candidate will work in conjunction with the CSP Manager, oversee shift preparation and issuance of all supplies, medical and surgical, used in the care and treatment of pa­tients. 

Position Purpose

• Ensure procedures are followed when handling, sterilizing, and packaging medical and surgical items to ensure cleanliness and sterility of items. 

What you will do

• Ensures established aseptic standards are follow­ed to minimize potential for spread of infection and/or disease. Trains new staff on department procedures.  Maintains a positive attitude and provides constructive feedback and suggestions to ensure department’s needs are met.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School education with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a Sterile Processing Department.  Operating Room experience preferred.
• Certification: CSP certification required with the ability to train new staff.
