Batteries Plus is looking for an Instructional Designer to create engaging and effective learning experiences that help our teams succeed. You'll design, develop, and maintain training content across eLearning, instructor-led, blended, and webinar formats-bringing learning to life for both internal and external audiences.
What You'll Do
- Partner with stakeholders to assess training needs and support ongoing projects.
- Manage timelines for new instructional design requests and content updates.
- Apply instructional design principles to develop webinars, eLearning, instructor-led training (ILT), blended learning, videos, and job aids.
- Design and update training materials for product, operations, technical skills, and professional development.
- Create and maintain content for Train-the-Trainer programs.
- Facilitate webinars and instructor-led training sessions as needed.
- Ensure all training content aligns with adult learning principles and company standards.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Human Resources, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 1 year of experience designing and developing instructional content across multiple formats.
- Proficiency with instructional design tools (Articulate Storyline 360 preferred; Camtasia, Captivate, Photoshop a plus).
- Basic understanding of HTML and LMS course creation and reporting.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional best practices.
