Job Summary/Overview

The Technical Product Specialist is responsible for supporting our product, pricing and CAD configuration tool: DTools. This role supports the organization's sales and quoting needs by setting up new DTools user accounts, addressing user inquiries, resolving product configuration issues in an expedient manner and testing new product additions or updates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as user support in setting up accounts, resolving user feedback issues related to all aspects of Dtools (pricing, product application, configuration rules, etc).
  • Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective utilization of Dtools.
  • Identify and assist in resolving issues and defects in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate communication between product technical teams and web applications developers to ensure clear understanding and successful implementation of CPQ requirements.
  • Assist with the development and execution of test plans to ensure Dtools meets functional and performance requirements.
  • Assist with the implementation of new features and updates to enhance system performance and user experience.
  • Assist with maintaining Dtools components, including product catalogs, pricing rules, and quote templates.
  • Conduct analysis of business processes and requirements to ensure effective DTools system design and functionality.
  • Analyze existing Dtools processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Act as user support in setting up accounts, resolving user feedback issues related to all aspects of Dtools (pricing, product application, configuration rules, etc).
  • Manage Dtools related projects, including system upgrades, integrations, and new feature implementations.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure project milestones are met.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities

  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • CMCO Conveyance product, conveyor application and product pricing knowledge through experience or hands-on training.
  • Ability to learn a broad product line.
  • Experience with product pricing and price adjustments.
  • Skilled in managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in written materials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competence with product configuration software and technologies.
  • Competence with technical documentation software and tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams like marketing, sales, and logistics.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Design, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in supporting product related inquires, specifications or applications.
  • Experience with product configuration software (Driveworks) preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
