Job Description
The UChicago Medicine (UCM) Alliance Attending Physician Position provides a unique combination of inpatient and consultation clinical experience. The successful candidate will rotate on a general inpatient service at Ingalls Memorial hospital, a 35-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation unit affiliated with the located on the UChicago Ingalls Hospital Campus.
Responsibilities while on the inpatient service also include performing inpatient consultations on acute care patients at UChicago Ingalls Memorial Hospital. In addition, physicians will rotate off inpatient rehabilitation and provide consultations at the University of Chicago Medical Center, a large academic medical center in the Hyde Park neighborhood on the south side of Chicago. In this capacity they will work closely with acute care physicians in neurology, neurosurgery, oncology, trauma and other referring specialties to support the acute stay and discharge planning
The successful candidate will join a cohesive and collaborative team of physicians committed to providing the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab (SRAlab) standards of care. As a member of the SRAlab Medical Staff, the attending physician will have access to all financial and educational resources of the organization, in addition to a partnership with UChicago Medicine faculty and physicians.

You will be eligible to participate in the generous 401(k) plan. As an employee, you will be eligible to receive an employer contribution of 3% of your base compensation as well as an additional 3% match from SRAlab, the latter dependent on your level of contribution.

Reporting Relationships
Reports directly to the Program Medical Director
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Illinois or eligible for licensure.
Successful completion of a residency program in physical medicine and rehabilitation and is Board certified or Board Eligible.
Excellent communications and interdisciplinary skills required, including proven ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, referring parties, SRAlab and other internal and external stakeholders.
Working Conditions
Normal office environment with little or no exposure to dust or extreme temperature.
Pay and Benefits*:
Pay Range: $250,000.00 annually - $350,000.00 annually Â
