Maintenance Aide- Residence Inn by Marriott
We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Hotel Maintenance Aide to join our hospitality team. In this role, you will ensure our guest rooms, public spaces, and exterior grounds remain safe, fully functional, and visually appealing. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who takes pride in their work and enjoys interacting with guests in a friendly, professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
- General Repairs: Troubleshoot and fix minor issues involving plumbing, basic electrical systems, carpentry, and painting.
- Guest Room Upkeep: Respond quickly to work orders regarding lighting, PTAC/HVAC units, drywall repair, and furniture adjustments.
- Groundskeeping: Maintain hotel exteriors, walkways, and trash areas to ensure safety and curb appeal.
- Pool & Spa: Check and adjust chemical levels daily to meet safety standards.
- Team Collaboration: Assist housekeeping or front office teams with heavy lifting, room resets, or facility emergencies as needed.Â
Qualifications
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tools.
- Physical Ability: Capability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand or bend for long intervals.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and a guest-first attitude.
