Porter

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented porter to join our apartment community team. The porter will be responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and presentable common areas and assisting with the overall cleanliness of the property. We are seeking someone who takes pride in their work, is reliable, and understands the importance of maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. 

 Schedule: 5 days a week 4 hours 

⏰ Start Time:  8 AM to 12 PM

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the assigned rail yard and facility areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and perform general cleaning duties.
• Remove trash, debris, and waste from designated areas.
• Clean and maintain restrooms, offices, break rooms, common areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Maintain cleanliness around the rail yard and building entrances.
• Restock cleaning and restroom supplies as needed.
• Follow all rail yard safety rules and company policies.
• Report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, or damaged equipment to the supervisor.
• Perform other cleaning and porter duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial, porter, cleaning, or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
• Ability to work independently and follow directions.
• Ability to perform physical cleaning duties, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying.
• Must be able to work safely in an active rail yard environment.
• Reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location.
• Must follow all railroad, client, and company safety requirements.

Required Safety Equipment

Due to the rail yard work environment, employees are required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including:

• Steel-toe boots
• Hard hat
• Safety goggles
