We are excited to open a new location in Dalton GA and are seeking a Patient Access Specialist (PAS) to join our team. Training and onboarding will take place at 6120 Alabama Hwy Ringgold GA 30736 to provide a smooth transition and ensure you are fully prepared to serve patients at the new site.

Tri-Med Family Care is a fast-growing healthcare provider focused on delivering compassionate, high-quality care to our patients. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team and help make a positive impact on our patients' health and wellbeing.

 

Position Overview:

The Patient Access Specialist is the first point of contact for our patients, managing registration, scheduling, and insurance verification. This role ensures accurate records, supports clinic operations, and delivers a positive patient experience through strong customer service and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and register patients; collect and verify demographic and insurance information
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments
  • Obtain insurance authorizations and verify eligibility/benefits
  • Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the system
  • Ensure compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA)
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and clinical staff
  • Resolve basic patient inquiries and direct issues appropriately

Qualifications:

  • Understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality; able to maintain confidentiality under HIPAA standards.
  • Must have the ability to exercise a high degree of diplomacy and tact; excellent customer services and interpersonal communication skills; Cultural sensitivity and demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse people groups.
  • Intermediate to advanced phone skills; able to effectively relate via the telephone and in-person to serve the needs of Clinic patients/clients/visitors in a manner that is efficient and productive.
  • Must be highly flexible; able to accommodate changing needs of the department.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills. Additional language abilities are desirable.
  • Knowledge of basic math and modern office procedures.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision. Proven flexibility and willingness to manage a variety of tasks.
  • Willingness to work evenings or outside events as needed.
  • Basic to intermediate computer knowledge and skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish: Strongly Preferred
