Ambulatory Authorization Specialist

Job Description:

The Ambulatory Authorization Specialist must be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of the pre-authorization process, identify exams that require authorization, and be able to validate that an authorization has been obtained. This position is responsible for obtaining initial insurance verification and validating pre-authorization for outpatient exams for all imaging locations. Will perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

EDUCATION: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Bachelors Degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Three years minimum healthcare insurance experience required.
