Assembly Supervisor – Pop-A-Plug

We're looking for an Assembly Supervisor to join our EST team in Hatfield, PA!

As the quality gatekeeper and team leader, the supervisor enforces manufacturing procedures, verifies documentation, performs inspections, and releases products only when requirements are met. The role fosters a respectful, collaborative, and accountable team culture, setting clear expectations and developing employees' skills.

The supervisor collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication, workflow, and ongoing improvement.

YOUR CHALLENGE:

  • Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the Pop-A-Plug Assembly team.
  • Serve as the primary quality gatekeeper within the assembly process.
  • Ensure job travelers and all required production documentation are completed accurately, and in a timely manner.
  • Partner with Quality & Engineering to investigate nonconformances/implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor recurring assembly defects and identify opportunities for process improvements, mistake-proofing, and additional training.
  • Coordinate onboarding and cross-training of Assembly employees.
  • Identify gaps between documented procedures and actual production practices and communicate those gaps to Engineering and Quality.
  • Conduct routine floor audits to verify compliance with established processes.
  • Set clear standards for teamwork, communication, attendance, quality, productivity, and conduct.
  • Lead by example to uphold expected team standards.
  • Ensure employees follow all applicable safety procedures and company policies.
  • Support 5S and workplace organization initiatives.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree or relevant manufacturing education preferred.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing or assembly experience.
  • Previous supervisory or manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing processes, quality requirements, and production documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, train, and develop employees.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and production deadlines.
  • Proficiency with standard computer applications and manufacturing/ERP systems.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a regulated or quality-critical manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with mechanical assembly and inspection processes.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and production travelers.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience working with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve nonconformances.
  • Experience developing cross-training and employee qualification programs.
