We’re looking for detail-oriented, hands-on individuals to join our team as a Dispersion Development Technician at our Hatfield, PA facility. What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and process pigment dispersions using established formulations, procedures, and work instructions (weighing, mixing, dispersing, milling)
  • Operate laboratory processing equipment, including high-speed dispersers, mixers, and mills, following safety and operational guidelines
  • Conduct routine laboratory testing, including grind, viscosity, density, solids, color, and tint strength, as directed
  • Support formulation and development trials by staging raw materials, preparing samples, and executing directed experiments
  • Accurately document experimental work, observations, and test results in lab notebooks, databases, or project tracking systems
  • Assist with scale-up or pilot batch preparation under supervision, including material handling and equipment setup

Prepare and label samples for internal evaluation or customer submission, ensuring accuracy and traceability

  • Maintain laboratory equipment and work areas, including cleaning, basic maintenance, inventory management, and 5S compliance
  • Follow all laboratory safety practices, PPE requirements, and chemical handling procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Support troubleshooting efforts by executing assigned tests and experiments and communicating results to supervising staff

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals who are comfortable working in a laboratory and manufacturing support environment.

You’ll be successful if you have:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures
  • Hands-on experience working with laboratory or processing equipment preferred
  • A safety-first mindset with strict adherence to lab safety and chemical handling protocols
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work under close supervision and execute assigned tasks accurately

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree or coursework in chemistry, materials science, or a related field preferred
  • Previous laboratory or manufacturing experience preferred

Certifications

Technical or laboratory-related certifications are a plus

Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with laboratory testing methods and equipment
  • Experience with weighing, mixing, and material handling processes
  • Basic understanding of chemical handling and safety procedures
  • Experience with data recording systems or laboratory software is a plus

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

This is a hands-on role that requires:

  • Work in a laboratory and manufacturing environment with exposure to chemicals, fumes, and airborne particles
  • Standing for extended periods with frequent reaching and material handling
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Use of laboratory equipment, hand tools, and testing instruments
  • Strict adherence to PPE and safety protocols
