Job DetailsJob Location: SEMRHI Mobile Unit - Hattiesburg, MS 39401Job Summary: The Mobile Unit Driver operates and transports the mobile medical unit from the storage site to the sites of service via established routes as scheduled. Also, demonstrate knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with staff, patients, families and visitors of all age groups, while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs.   Job Responsibilities: Serves as the primary driver of the Mobile Medical Vehicle Read and interpret a city and county map and driving directions to plan the most cost effect route Assists with the delivery of patient care services and management Ensures that vehicles are serviced, maintained and inspected as needed Provides needed information to the Manager for vehicle maintenance Drives safely and abides by all traffic laws, signs and regulations Wears seatbelts and makes sure that all passengers wear safety belts at all times Handling confidential information and/or high value documents/items including cash Cleaning and caring for his/her assigned vehicle Provides excellent internal customer service Demonstrates a willingness to work flexible hours as necessary Displays professionalism in all communication including patients, other staff, and community members Ability to handle and/or dispose of biohazardous waste Maintains prompt and regular attendance. Does not use cell phone while driving Mobile Unit Verify timecard at the end of each pay period. Performs related work, as assigned. Completes all trainings prior to deadline QualificationsJob Requirements: High school diploma or GED Valid Mississippi driver’s license CDL not required but class B is highly preferred. Basic knowledge of computers and typing skills required Must demonstrate skills of written and oral communication.  Ability to comprehend and perform duties with minimal supervision. Able to prioritize work and accept constructive criticism. Ability to prepare reports and follow-up as necessary. Knowledge of local geographic area Safe driving Basic Understanding of filing systems Demonstrate filing appropriately and assist with other office tasks   Physical and Other Requirements: Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and TB skin test Must be willing to do local travel. Must continuously listen, visualize, and have dexterity and eye-hand coordination Ability for simple grasping and speed work Must frequently sit, squat, reach, use both right and left forearm rotation, walk and climb stairs Must occasionally kneel, twist, have the ability to grasp firmly, lift and carry, push and pull in excess of 30 lbs.
