POSITION SUMMARY:

The Mammography Technologist works under general supervision to assist the radiologist in performing screening and diagnostic procedures for patients; and works effectively with patients and other clinic personnel; provides patient education in breast healthcare.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimal Requirements: 

High school diploma or equivalent; graduation from an accredited/certified Radiologic Technology Program; ARRT Certification, current Mississippi State Board of Health registration as a Medical Radiation Technologist, BLS for health care workers preferred.

 

Employees who meet the minimal requirements: This position requires you to become a Registered Mammography Technologist within the first year of employment.

 

Preferred Requirements: Radiologic Technologist degree in Mammography in good standing with the ARRT. Good clerical skills including ability to file and type, ability to operate office computers; knowledge of healthy work habits; must be capable of multitasking. Must possess excellent organizational skills; good human relation skills, agility to assist patients as needed; willingness to learn; and flexibility with work and personal schedule.

Monday - Friday, PRN
