POSITION SUMMARY:

The Imaging Department MRI Technologist works under general direction of the Lead MRI Technologist performs MRI exams and related activities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

One to three years experience performing MRI and/or three to five years experience performing CT scans; strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy; A.R.R.T. certification in MRI.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:

High school education or equivalent; graduation from an A.R.R.T. accredited school of X-Ray Technology; A.R.R.T. registration in radiography; current Mississippi State Board of Health registration as a Medical Radiation Technologist; CPR for health care workers; ability to work independently and with limited supervision.

 

Physical requirements include ability to work in a highly magnetic field, stand/walk, bend, stoop, twist, assist patients in turning, assist patients in arising from exam table, push wheelchair/stretcher patients, assist patients in arising and returning to wheelchair and/or stretchers.


WORK SCHEDULE: Operating hours of Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 6:00PM, Saturday 6:30AM - 5:00PM, shifts vary
