SUMMARY:

The Data Report Analyst is responsible for generating, analyzing, and delivering reports from the organization’s core banking system, data warehouse, and third-party application platforms to support business operations, financial reporting, and strategic plans. This role ensures data accuracy, supports regulatory reporting requirements, and provides actionable insights to members of various credit union departments across the organization. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a Team. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Generate and maintain standard, advanced, and ad-hoc reports from the core banking, data warehouse, and third-party systems.
  • Extract, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, variances, and operational insights.
  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards and data visualizations using BI tools.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reporting to management.
  • Utilize Core Banking Platform Fiserv XP2 to query and validate transactional and financial data.
  • Write and maintain complex SQL queries for data analysis and reporting and develop and maintain custom reports and datasets.
  • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Create interactive visualizations (charts, KPIs, scorecards) using Power BI.
  • Support reporting requirements across all departments in the Credit Union.
  • Maintain and support the Credit Union’s Data Warehouse server.
  • Assist with system upgrades, enhancements, and reporting changes.
  • Troubleshoot reporting discrepancies and data issues.
  • Support financial, operational, and regulatory reporting.
  • Validate data accuracy across systems and perform data reconciliation and quality checks.
  • Automate manual reporting processes and improve operational efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Assist with Core Banking system upgrades, enhancements, and migrations.
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation for all systems.
  • Work closely with the credit union personnel to support reporting requirements and implement new project initiatives.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues promptly, independently, and report all major issues to the VP of Technology and Core Systems Manager.



REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in reporting systems and database administration, preferably with Core Banking systems
  • SQL Server, Power BI, Crystal Reports, Data Analytics, Validation, Extracts, Customization, Data warehouse, and third-party applications.
  • Ability to travel 4 - 5 days per week to the office in Hauppauge, NY


COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong knowledge of reporting systems, tools, and database administration.
  • Understanding of financial and business core systems and applications
  • SQL databases, Power BI, Crystal Reports, Data Analysis, and administration.
  • Data warehouse, systems upgrades, documentation, and project management.
  • Job schedulers, queries, datasets, third-party integration, and data validation
  • Dashboards, reports, job automation, and processes
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with end-users, the IT team, management, and vendors
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and to supervise others.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to provide training to internal employees
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems promptly
