Liberty POST is currently seeking motivated and energetic Early Childhood Occupational Therapists (OT) for part-time and/or full-time employment to work with children who are birth-5 years old through Early Intervention and Preschool Special Education programs. Immediate positions are available in our office in Hauppauge as well as throughout Long Island.  

 Liberty POST has offered its clients a range of high-quality and individualized services since 1994.  Backed by Liberty Resources Inc. and part of a large social services circle, originally POST was a speech-language practice in Syracuse NY and has grown to provide a range of services throughout New York State and Indiana. We employ over 500 professionals in a variety of settings and offer a collaborative team approach to provide evaluation, direct therapy, and family education through child-directed play. We are focused on the importance of a child’s natural learning environment, a family’s unique strengths and needs and the diverse population we serve.

 Job Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Assess, monitor and track child’s progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly using our Electronic Medical Record system.
  • Conduct Occupational Therapy sessions for children with various diagnoses (ex: ASD, sensory issues, fine motor delay, etc.).
  • Provide center-based and/or home care services.
  • Effectively organize and maintain confidentially of child’s records and other documentations.
  • Follow all state laws and regulations as it pertains to Early Intervention, CPSE/CSE special education.


Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist in the State of New York required.
  • Knowledge of New York State laws/regulations in regard to Occupational
    Therapy.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with children is preferred.
  • Experience in sensory integration is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and proof of car insurance.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.

Fee-for-Service Rates:

Office/Clinic Based (EI/CPSE): starting $28 for 30-minute session

Home/Community Based EI:
45-minutes: $57
60-minutes: $75

Home/Community Based CPSE starts at $35 for 30-minute session
Evals starting at $155
