MQ-9 Aircraft Mechanic III

Position Summary: Titan Echelon is seeking a highly qualified and skilled MQ-9 Mechanic to support maintenance operations on the MQ-9 aircraft. This position requires a high level of technical proficiency, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail to maintain the operational readiness of MQ-9 aircraft in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair power plant malfunctions, including cracked components and oil leaks.
  • Test engine operations, isolate issues, and replace/repair damaged components.
  • Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble aircraft parts, ensuring proper functionality.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace flight controls, electrical, fuel, and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct maintenance services such as lubrication, engine flushing, and routine checks.
  • Specialize in engine repairs, structural modifications, and precision component replacements.
  • Recommend maintenance procedure improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.

 

Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative tasks (timecards, expense reports).
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to work unsupervised, and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to interact across various organizational levels.

 

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Active Secret Clearance required (US Citizenship required).
  • High school diploma or equivalent military/technical training.
  • 5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience; 2+ years on MQ-9 aircraft.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical publications.
  • CDI or Red-X Inspector designation for applicable UAS aircraft.
  • Previous CDI, CDQAR, or Organizational Maintenance experience.
  • Ability to inspect and operate ground support equipment.
  • Knowledge of CNAFINST 4790.2 NAMP & DAFI 21-101.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and wear military-issued equipment for extended periods.
  • Valid State-Issued Driver’s License and ability to obtain a flight-line Government License.

Education/Experience: Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
