Your Impact

The Vice President of Finance serves as Ashley’s senior financial leader and strategic business partner, responsible for the organization’s overall financial health, long-term financial strategy, and operational performance.

 

Working closely with the Co-CEOs, Executive Leadership Team, Finance Committee, and Board of Directors, the Vice President will ensure sound financial stewardship while helping shape the organization’s strategic direction and long-term sustainability.

 

The successful candidate combines strong financial and accounting expertise with the ability to translate complex financial information into meaningful business insights that support mission-driven decision making.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Strategic Financial Leadership

 

* Lead the organization’s financial strategy, long-range financial planning, and annual budgeting process.

* Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives, business planning, and organizational growth.

* Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and scenario planning to support key business decisions.

* Advise executive leadership and the Board on financial opportunities, risks, and investment priorities.

 

Financial Management & Reporting

 

* Oversee all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, payroll, and financial operations.

* Ensure timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

* Maintain strong internal controls and financial policies.

* Lead annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting, including nonprofit compliance requirements.

 

Revenue Cycle & Operational Finance

 

* Provide executive oversight of revenue cycle operations, reimbursement, billing, collections, and cash management.

* Partner with operational leaders to improve financial performance and resource utilization.

* Support data-driven decision making across the organization.

 

Leadership

 

* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.

* Foster collaboration across departments to align financial planning with organizational priorities.

* Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, continuous improvement, and service excellence.

 

Financial Systems & Process Improvement

 

* Evaluate and enhance financial systems, reporting capabilities, and business processes.

* Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, analytics, and technology.

* Support modernization of financial operations and reporting.


What You Bring

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.

* Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including senior finance management.

* Experience within nonprofit healthcare, behavioral health, or other mission-driven healthcare organizations strongly preferred.

* Deep understanding of GAAP, nonprofit accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, treasury management, and internal controls.

* Experience overseeing healthcare revenue cycle and reimbursement processes.

* Demonstrated ability to partner with executive leadership and Boards of Directors.

* Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills.

* Advanced proficiency in financial systems, Excel, and business analytics.
