Job Description
Position Purpose:
Internships at Veolia: Gain hands-on experience in watershed management field work and data collection/ processing.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist with field data collection; water quality, forestry and wildlife.
- Assist with data processing for projects.
- Assist with physical maintenance/projects for ecological management and security.
- Assist with volunteer cleanups events.
Work Environment:
- Environments vary by internship function from office to field to plant.
- Our aim is to provide tangible industry job experience to each intern.
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Background:
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- Working towards a four year degree and you have Junior status in Environmental Science, Biology, or forestry.
- 3.2 Cumulative G.P.A required.
- Experience with google sheets.
- Experience water chemistry analysis.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong communication and analytical skill.
- Comfortable working on boats, in forests and around wildlife/hazardous and nonhazardous chemicals.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
- Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record to travel within company territory.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Additional Information
Pay Range: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour.
