Position Overview:Â
The Clinic Aide will assist with clinic organization & cleaning, operational duties, and delegated patient-related tasks under the direct supervision of the Front Desk Manager, AGM, or DOR. The Clinic Aide will also assist as second hands when needed in session, under the direct supervision of the treating therapist.Â
Requirements:Â
- Must possess an enthusiasm for working with children and collaborating in team environment Â
- Minimum qualifications include high school diploma or GEDÂ Â
- Previous experience in healthcare setting and/or desire to learn in outpatient pediatric setting would be advantageousÂ
- Professional interpersonal conduct with good written and verbal communication skills Â
- Good time management, organization skills and attention to detail  Â
- Participation in a minimum of 8 hours of continuing education opportunities offered by NAPA Center  Â
- Background clearance by the DOJ and FBIÂ
- CPR and First Aid certificates preferredÂ
- Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with clients, therapy team and other medical professionals.

- Must possess the want to pursue a career within the healthcare industry, specifically within physical, occupational and speech therapy.Â
Responsibilities:Â
- Support therapy staff with instructing, motivating, and safeguarding patients during exercises or functional activity tasks (under direction of treating therapist)Â
- Regular cleaning and disinfecting of treatment areas, equipment, and toysÂ
- Oversee the washing, folding, and distribution of towels by volunteersÂ
- Organization of clinic or treatment supplies to maintain system set by DOR/GMÂ
- Assist in the transport of patients to and from treatment areasÂ
- Provide check-in support with volunteer team to coordinate volunteer duties, as delegated by Volunteer Coordinator Â
- Organize and execute pre-intensive duties, including, intensive patient bin labelling and washing of NS garmentsÂ
- Organize and execute end of intensive duties, t-shirt selection, certificate preparation & printing, handprintsÂ
- Organize and execute post-intensive duties including sending the intensive summaries to families once an intensive is wrapped upÂ
- Uploading patient files and documents into EMR system, printing hard copies of clinic documents (administrative or clinical)Â Â Â

Physical Demands:Â
Good physical health and fitness, including the ability to frequently perform, daily, the following movements over a 6–8-hour period without experiencing pain or abnormal fatigue:Â
- Lift, push or pull up to and including 50 pounds with hands and wrists Â
- Independently pivot or standing transfer dependent patients up to 85 poundsÂ
- Independently offer contact guard assistance for ambulatory patients of up to 125 poundsÂ
- Maintain extended periods of standing and/or sitting on the floor for up to 7 hours per dayÂ
