Visual Inspector Level 1 - 1st Shift

We are looking for a detail-oriented Visual Inspector to join our team in Hawthorne, CA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in visual inspections, preferably within the aerospace industry or a related field. 

This is a full-time position, 3- month contract with first-shift hours (10- hour shift). 

• Conduct hands-on visual inspections of components for damage, rust, burrs, foreign object debris (FOD), scratches, dents, and other surface imperfections
• Perform detailed visual checks to ensure parts meet quality and cleanliness standards
• Interpret basic engineering drawings and notes
• Take basic measurements using standard tools when needed but mostly this will consist of visual inspection
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to comply with FOD prevention and safety standards
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple inspection tasks while maintaining attention to detail
• Follow all safety protocols, quality procedures, and company standards to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to support production schedules and quality improvement initiatives

• Experience inspecting mechanical parts (client-specific training provided)
• Must have good communication 
• Proficiency in verifying products against drawing requirements
• Strong communication skills and technological proficiency
• Must be willing to undergo a background check
• Must be able to meet ITAR requirements 

• Familiarity with aerospace quality standards
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience using hand precision tools
