Job DetailsJob Location: ADC Hayesville - Hayesville, NC 28904 Summary: Assist with all warehousing activities. Provide feedback on all issues to the Production Manager/ Supervisors. Completing all documents required for shipping, receiving and inventories/stock. Follows and executes policy and procedures, including safety and security, to ensure the safety of all employees during each shift. Follows work instructions and assign duties. Recommends and measures to improve Shipping methods, equipment performances and quality products. Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists employees in solving work problems. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate department to achieve goals.   Essential Functions, Duties, Abilities and Responsibilities: Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills Effectively communicates directions Legibly write on all necessary documents and forms (Labels Tickets & Travelers) The ability to multi-task in all areas of position Perform routine quality checks on all wire and cable packaging. Strives to build a team environment Follows and enforces policy and procedures Adapts to change in work environment Oversees all incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments Understand the Quality Management System and understands how affects all employees Builds professional relationships Listens and gets clarification Looks for ways to improve and promote quality Determines space requirements and position of shipment in boxcars and trucks and lays out position of shipment. Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, and seals loaded boxcars and truck doors. Takes responsibility for own actions Follows and responds to management direction Uses time efficiently, demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness Meets productivity standards and strives to increase productivity Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair. Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas Compiles records of unfilled orders, Posts weight and shipping charges, and Prepares bills of lading Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair.
