Description
The Correctional Food Service Supervisor is responsible for the preparation, cooking, serving of meals, and clean up in a correctional facility at Clay County Jail. This position requires adherence to strict hygiene and safety standards while working within the unique environment of a correctional institution. Key Responsibilities:Â
- Prepare and cook meals according to menus and recipes.Â
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment.Â
- Ensure food safety and proper temperatures.Â

- Distribute food promptly and accurately.Â
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.Â
- Follow sanitation guidelines and safety protocols.Â
- Document food temperatures and portion sizes.Â
- Interact professionally with inmates.Â

Qualifications:Â
- High school diploma or equivalent.Â
- Preferred experience in food service or culinary roles.Â
- Basic cooking and food preparation skills.Â
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation.Â
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions.Â
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.Â
- Good communication and teamwork skills.Â
