Department: Â Sales
Reports to: Â Â Sales Manager
 Purpose:
Sells new and used agricultural and turf equipment to new and existing customers while providing excellent customer service.
 Responsibilities:Â
- Represents the company for the sale of machinery to all customers in a defined sales area.Â
- Maintains all customer information in assigned territory by entering customer contact information daily in Customer Relationship Management program.
- Represents the company for the sale of machinery to walk-in customers, takes sales leads and forwards information to the appropriate salesman.
- Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership.Â
- Monitors trends in customer’s business activities and provides timely communication to management.
- Monitors competitive activity/products and timely communicates to management.
- Follows up on all leads and referrals.
- Prepares sales presentations, proposals and completes all paperwork in a timely fashion.
- Maintains current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes.
- Maintains assigned company vehicles and equipment.
- Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events.
- Conducts equipment field demonstrations.Â
- Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
- Attends company sales meetings and participates in meeting discussion.
- Attends applicable sales training events/seminars.
- Knows and follows a defined sales process.
- Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events.
- Ensures marketing strategy includes components to support Critical Success Factors.
- Coordinates daily work schedule with location manager.
- Displays a positive attitude and optimism when taking on new tasks.
- Â Cooperates with all employees in all departments and communicates effectively to ensure a productive work environment.
 Requirements:Â
- Excellent customer relationship skills.
- 1+ years equipment sales experience.
- Knowledge of agricultural or turf equipment and farming or operational practices preferred .
- Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
- Solid organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel to store locations and customers.
- Valid drivers license.
- Associates degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Business, Agriculture Economics, Agriculture Mechanization or equivalent experience required.
- Bachelors Degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Business, Agriculture Economics, Agriculture Mechanization or equivalent experience preferred.
- Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports.
