Job Description

• Production Prep
  • Effectively & accurately pull material needed for production based on schedule.
  • Ensure materials are accurately labeled and staged for proper station.
  • Assist in cutting, sorting and labeling lumber for specific jobs.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move material.
• Inventory Management
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by monitoring stock levels and conducting cycle counts.
  • Rotate and maintain stock to prevent weathering or damage to material.
  • Notify supervisor of low stock or discrepancies.
• Receiving
  • Unload incoming shipments of lumber, hardware, and other materials.
  • Verify deliveries against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Inspect received materials for damage or quality issues.
  • Receive goods into the inventory system.
• Packaging
  • Bundle and band completed components for staging and transport.
  • Stage completed material to prevent weathering or damage in an organized way for proper truck loading.
  • Operate banding and wrapping tools safely and efficiently.
  • Pull and stage non-manufactured products.
• Shipping
  • Load trucks with products using forklifts.
  • Verify that outgoing loads match shipping documents and delivery schedules.
  • Secure components to prevent damage during transit.
  • Complete and file shipping documentation accurately into inventory system.
• Maintain Yard & Buildings
  • Keep yard organized and free of debris and hazards.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are stored properly after use.
  • Perform basic facility maintenance tasks.
  • Clear snow, debris, or obstructions as needed to maintain safe access.
  • Report facility or equipment damage to supervisor promptly.
